Independent Studies

Independent study courses in the Computer Science program are student guided study which are used:
  • Faculty and students explore subjects not covered by regular curricular;
  • Research topics appeal to both faculty and students;
They are not designed to replace regular courses, or used as alternative schedules.

We often see interesting projects, for example:
Kenneth May and Seth Kress, Enhancement of DARS (Spring 2014, advsior: Dr. Salem)
This research project aims to create an simulation environment that allows the security aspect of ad hoc networks to be analyzed more closely by implementing AODV.
